Crows

The crows of Upaya,
Wearing black zen robes,
Bow at the dharma gate,
And caw The Buddha's name.

~Dedicated to the cawing of crows.

  1. I have been reading your poetry book. I really like it! Here are two that stood out to me:
    This is my favorite:

    When the teapot breaks,
    The space within remains,
    Unscathed by the fall.

I also liked this one, it reminded me of the summer in Bartelsville when you came to visit and the bird chased the cat down the street:

    On the summer lawn,
    A Mockingbird swoops and dives,
    At a hapless cat.

    You are a good poet!

  2. Thanks Heather. It means a lot to me that you take the time to read some of the poetry. The little book of poems should be published soon.
